I conceived and moderated the roundtable Conexões Sonoras: Radiolas e Aparelhagens em Diálogo at Festival Motins, which brought together experts in radiolas and aparelhagens.

The discussion explored the shared sonic landscape of these sound system scenes in the Brazilian Amazonia, specifically in the states of Pará (aparelhagens) and Maranhão (radiolas), examining their musical styles, historical influences, and cultural dynamics through an interactive format that combined music and commentary.

The panel featured four guests: researcher and professor Antonio Maurício Dias da Costa (PA – aparelhagens), researcher and DJ Junior Almeida (PA – aparelhagens), journalist and researcher Karla Freire (MA – radiolas), and DJ and broadcaster Otavio Rodrigues, Dr. Reggae (MA – radiolas).

The participants presented vinyl records, CDs, and cassettes, reflecting on their cultural significance and the impact of mobile sound systems on contemporary music scenes.

The conversation highlighted the convergence of technology, music, and collective memory in shaping regional identities
