This blog, written for the CCCB LAB – the digital magazine of the Center for Contemporary Culture of Barcelona – as part of the exhibition Amazonias: Ancestral Future, explores the relationship between music and territory in the Brazilian urban Amazon, focusing on the state of Pará. The text highlights genres such as carimbó, brega, and technobrega as unique cultural expressions of this region.

As a guest artist and researcher, I also contributed the article «Soundscapes of the Northwestern Amazonia: Musical Rivers and Their Tributaries», as well as the performance «Sound Geographies: A Journey round Urban Amazonia» and a DJ set at the closing event of the exhibition, held as part of International Museum Day and Night of Museums 2025.
