I am a Latino-Amazonian woman from Belém, northern Brazil, currently based in Barcelona, with a background in architecture, urbanism, and cultural studies. I am presently pursuing a PhD at the University of Barcelona, where my research focuses on the materialization of the built environment in urban Amazonia and its interaction with unique urban sociabilities.
As a cultural theorist, I concentrate on investigating popular culture in the global south, examining how cultural expressions shape and reflect social dynamics. As an architect and urbanist, I have chosen not just to build but to engage deeply with the process of communication and dissemination—writing, lecturing, and contributing to critical urban thought.
Collaboration is central to my work, as I am committed to creating, developing, and sharing knowledge within teams and communities. Additionally, I am passionate about music and besides investigate I perform as a DJ, using sound as a way to connect and celebrate.
